Note: The word "faggot" or "queer" is not, and was not, in Steven Nary's vocabulary. Chief Hargrove (above) testified that he never heard Steven Nary use those terms and words. The Proecutor's closing statement, as taken from the trial transcript (above), was designed to inflame the jury. This same prosecutor used false evidence about gay bathhouses and gay bars that were located near Steven Nary's high school in Cathedral City, California.* (This was also designed to make Steven Nary appear to be a closeted homosexual who was ashamed of what he did and struck out in rage against Pifarre.) This was a gross falsehood and fabrication which Judge Kevin Ryan permitted to be admitted into the trial to inflame and influence the jury. This also one of the legal bases for the Federal Appeal to Overturn and Vacate Ryan's conviction of Steven Nary for Second Degree Murder. Steven Nary was sentenced 16 years to life in State Prison. (*According to the City Planner of Cathedral City, California, there were no gay bathhouses and bars near the high school Steven Nary attended. Bathhouses were not licensed in Cathedral City.) |
